San Diego Six Shooters ARC Participation Payoff Program

SDSSARC membership grants members the opportunity to earn points through participation in various activities. These points will track involvement throughout the year and will be used to reward participation. Points will be exchanged for chances in a year-end raffle.

Participation in club events builds camaraderie and creates a sense of belonging to something that brings education and enjoyment. Membership participation also makes a strong statement about the health and vibrancy of our club.

Various points will be assigned for different methods of participation.  Each participation point a member earns will be exchanged for one raffle ticket, earning that member a chance to win Participation Prizes at the December meeting. The Prizes will depend upon the number of members we have the financial health of our club. Past prizes have included radios, books, gift certificates, tools, and more.

A Participation Point Chart will be published and quarterly results will be posted on the club reflector. The more a member participates, the more points he/she earns and the greater their chances are of winning.

2011 San Diego Six Shooters ARC Participation Payoff Program will start with all Club related events between January 1, 2011 and December 16, 2011.  Drawings will be held on Monday, December 19, 2011.  All participation points will be converted to  raffle tickets. Members are encouraged to attend, but do not have to be present to win. ONLY ONE PRIZE PER MEMBER.

NOTES:

* Club Meetings are held on the Third Monday of every month. You are asked to be on time and stay for the duration of the meeting to qualify for participation points. It is YOUR responsibility to sign in.

* Presentations should be on an amateur radio or electronic related subject and should last a minimum of 25 minutes. Audio/video is not required.

* Nets are held four times a week and provide the easiest means for earning participation points. Checking in & out without participating in the roundtable discussion does not qualify as participating.

* Net Control operators will receive 3 points for their services and CANNOT claim the one point for Net participation. This is a great opportunity to earn extra points when help is needed in covering nets. Net Control operators must fill out the Net Log to properly track participation.

* ARRL KIDS DAY occurs in January and June of each year. This is an opportunity for us to pique interest in our hobby with the younger folks. This event lasts 5 hours and a Club setup in a public area is our goal.

* VHF/UHF Contests and Field Day require help in setup, manning equipment, and tear-down. 5 hours will earn you 5 points and help the Club effort.

* One of our goals as an organization is to grow. Your help by SPONSORING new members is an easy way to earn points and strengthen our Club.
